The organ in Wesley Methodist Church has a long history, and has undergone a number of major and minor improvements and rebuilding.
It is used regularly by a number of local organists.
Now, in 2023, the organ is again in need of a significant overhaul as a number of the 60 or more metal rods activating the valves are wearing and need to be replaced.
The initial estimate was around £2,500 but it is likely that the total sum required will be higher and so a target of £5,000 has been set.
So an organ refurbishment fund has been opened.
